The cup of blessing which we bless (1Cor 10:16-17)

"The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread." (1Cor. 10:16-17)
~"Communion", "one bread", "one body", how beautiful are these words! They call us out of our egoistic caves to become the many yet one. The worth of the individual is not negated, but the individual is called to deny himself. The partaking is vertical, of that one bread; but, the partaking thus also declares our horizontal unity as one bread and one body in Him.
