Peter was making the mistake of equating Jesus with Moses and Elijah; however the disciples needed to know that Moses and the prophets bore witness of Christ, and Christ is the finality of God's revelation (Heb.1:1-2). Some still make the mistake of trying to make three tabernacles by trying to retain the old with the new. However, it is important to understand that when the true light has come, there is no place for the shadows.
