Friendship (Prov 12:26)

"The righteous choose their friends carefully." (Pro.12:26, TNIV)
~A friend is not just anybody. A true friend is one who gives his life for his friend. He regards the life of his friend as more precious. He comforts you in times of trouble rather than condemning or blaming you. He is an encouragement, not a discouragement. He doesn't keep secrets that would benefit his friend, but shares all things good. He protects your secrets. A true friend does not lie, does not pretend, does not flatter, does not judge. A friend is truthful to his promises. He doesn't seek to cause loss, but returns manifold when he can with gratitude and love. A true friend is generous. A miser and a parasite is never a friend of anyone. A true friend covers you in the storm and takes the beating himself. A true friend abides till the end, no matter what happens. He sticks closer than a brother. He comes back again and again. He wants to know you're prospering. A true friend is also wise, honest, and righteous in all his doings. A true friend will not join others in mocking you, but he feels your pain as his own. Be such a friend. Choose such.
