That the world may know that I love the Father.... (Jn.14:31)

"That the world may know that I love the Father...." (Jn.14:31)
~The more one reads the Gospels, the clearer it is that the greatest passion of Jesus was not for souls; His greatest passion was the Father.

In my Father's house are many rooms... (Jn.14:2)

"In my Father's house are many rooms..." ~ Jesus (Jn.14:2)
~There are no homeless people in heaven. The Lazarus at the gate will nestle in the bosom of Abraham. Certainly, Lazarus is not an outsider; he is also one of Abraham's sons. But, oh the vileness of human systems that evicts people from their father's house and creates a culture of selfishness, class, and moral dereliction! Isn't it painful to know that those who are now on the streets were once in their father's house? When was it first that they were left to themselves? And, then these evictions, these flights, these frightful escapes of immigration, phobic frenzies to kick the Lazaruses out for being parasites of human societies, and added to all, the filthy upperhand of sinful siphons that plunder the sense of neighborliness in order to satiate the gods of possessions, power, and pleasure. The remedy lies in considering these strangers as our own, as belonging to the Father's house, which has room for every single individual on this earth.
